SIU probes custody injury in Barrie
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – The Special Investigations Union is probing what it calls a “custody injury” on Wednesday night in Barrie, Ont.
Barrie police say at about 8:40 p.m., police tried to stop of a speeding vehicle, which subsequently collided with another vehicle.
The driver fled on foot, climbed over a fence and suffered a head injury after falling to the ground on the other side.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit was not seriously injured.
The SIU investigates also reports involving police where there is death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
